I never really bought into the idea that college was such a radically different experience from grade school. I figured it was much the sameĀ – a place people went because they were supposed to, and it kept them out of trouble for the most part. I never saw much value in educational systems – systems were often flawed because of their systemic nature.
A perfect example of the breakdown of the educational system is the decision of what makes the cut – what gets taught. Art is not important. Music is not important. English, Math, Social Studies – these are important. What scared me the most as a kid was that most of my teachers keep reading »
