Yes, that is definitely part of what I meant. Also, see Tracie (aka SlutMachine) and Rich's show, Pot Psychology.
http://jezebel.com/tag/pot-psychology/
I have to admit, I find it entertaining. But even though their advice is meant in a light-hearted (read: stoned) way - at least 60% of it is utterly ridiculous. Giving someone a "cream pie" is not a good way to avoid pregnancy, let alone STDs. (And yes, she said it in a serious fashion. Well, stoned, but serious.)
However, I also must admit that other features of Jezebel are fun, and that rebuttal to the AskMen article is right on.
Sorry, I've just been feeling cranky lately, and I pick on things for little to no reason sometimes. I don't mean to be a downer. :-/
Your writing is as awesome as ever! :D

So that's why I was avoiding Jezebel! The dumb-shit antics of "slut-machine" and her drunken sidekick, Moe, (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/lizz-winstead/jezebelism_b_110903.html), made me stay away from that site for ages. I've recently rediscovered it and enjoyed it immensely, especially their own response to this very article: http://jezebel.com/5310037/askmen-asks-a-woman-for-the-5-lies-all-females-tell

I just read some of the articles on that website for the first time, and all I can say is, Yuck. It's so obvious that many of the writers consider women to be emotional children, or worse, simply objects to be "owned". Disgusting. What's even more offensive to me, is that many of these writers probably don't practice this shit in real life. They're probably only writing it to get more readers.
On the other side of the coin, are some of the writers at Jezebel. Some of them tend to do the same kind of thing, but in the other direction. Or, what's even scarier, is they just assume that people of both genders use each other for sex, and that's the end of it. Also: some of the female writers there tend to be promiscuous. That doesn't bother me. What does bother me is that sometimes they act proud of not using condoms, and talk casually about risky behaviour. They say things like, "I'm not afraid of STDs." Writing that kind of thing in an online magazine marketed towards young people (mainly women) is so irresponsible, and it makes steam come out of my ears.

Because those things (to my knowledge) are more about relaxing and male bonding. What's the point of getting away from the opposite sex to just hang with the guys if all you're going to do is bitch and moan about women? Talk about a shitty road trip.

I think gender bashing (from men or women) is pretty offensive, and usually stems out of some pretty fucked up situations. It's a coping strategy more than anything else. What bugs me is when we accepting coping as the norm.

The only form of 'escapism' from women is a website open to the public, including females?

What happened to (and I'm generalizing here) to pubs, golf courses and roadtrips?
